Hey, I’m Fiona, a half Scottish, half Spanish girl in her 20’s that moved to the beautiful city of Amsterdam back in December of 2022. 

Why Amsterdam? 

One random spontaneous weekend I decided to visit a friend in Amsterdam. I had zero expectations of what Amsterdam would be like. The only thing I knew about Amsterdam was the legal marijuana and the red light district. And I knew that UK boys came for Lads holidays. So yeah, my expectations were low to say the least. 

As soon as I stepped out of Centraal Station I was in shock. It was a beautiful sunny day in August 2022, around 30 degrees. I saw the ‘bike car park’ and was stunned by the amount of bicycles there were. Yes, did not know about the bike culture in Amsterdam and had never seen that amount of bikes in my life. I instantly fell in love with the city and as soon as I got home I asked my boss if I could transfer to Amsterdam – to cut a long story short, I moved to Amsterdam three months later, and have been here ever since. 

The reason I decided to start this blog is because I want to have a creative outlet where I can share everything going on my my life, whether its a new coffee spot I decided to try out, a deep dive into how I track my finances, my favourite boutique clothes shops and how I know whether the quality is good, and any other random quirky thing going on in my life. 

If you’re trying to figure out how to live your best life then stay along for the rude, I hope you learn a thing or two!
